A local motorist suffered serious injuries following a two car crash that occurred last week in neighboring Armstrong County.
According to State Police, 61-year-old Steven Kovach of Rural Valley was traveling on Route 85 near White Oak Road in Cowanshannock Township around 6:30am on Thursday (March 2nd) when he allegedly turned in front of a van carrying nine passengers. Authorities say that the van then struck Kovach’s vehicle.
Officials say that Kovach was later transported by EMS from the scene before he was flown to Allegheny General Hospital in Pittsburgh for treatment.
Police say that the other driver, 55-year-old Jasper Davidson II of Uhrichsville, suffered suspected minor injuries but refused medical treatment.
No other injuries were reported.
