A local motorist suffered suspected serious injuries following a one car crash that occurred last week in neighboring Mercer County.
According to State Police 80-year-old Thomas Lamberton was traveling north on Pole Road in Lake Township just after 3pm on Tuesday (June 20th) when he lost control of his SUV while allegedly trying to retrieve a bag of chips that he dropped.
Authorities say that Lamberton’s vehicle then struck a mailbox before going off the roadway.
Officials say that Lamberton, who was wearing a seatbelt, was transported to the Grove City Medical Center for treatment of his serious injuries.
No other injuries were reported in Tuesday’s crash.
