Multiple motorists were injured as a result of a crash Tuesday afternoon in Slippery Rock Township.
The call came into the Butler County 911 Center shortly before 6 p.m. for a two-vehicle accident on Route 8 north between Branchton and Kiester Roads.
Crews from Slippery Rock and Unionville arrived at the scene to find two vehicles with heavy damage. A portion of the highway did need to be shut down to allow for cleanup of debris.
Two ambulances took multiple people to Grove City for treatment of unknown injuries.
