There is still time for residents to join a local nonprofit organization for a free educational program for adults dealing with a mental health condition.
Peer to Peer is an eight week program sponsored by NAMI, or the National Alliance on Mental Illness, that begins January 18th at 10 a.m. and continues weekly through March 7th at NAMI’s Butler office in the Holly Pointe Building.
This two-hour in-person class will include course materials provided at no cost. Trained leaders with lived experience will introduce activities, facilitate discussions, and present informative videos. The hope is that attendees will be willing to talk to professionals with shared experience.
Those interested in participating should call 724-431-0069 or visit the website of NAMI (https://namibutler.org) before the end of tomorrow.
