As the weather continues to get nicer, people are planning trips out on the water.
National Safe Boating Week is underway and the National Safe Boating Council wants to remind people about the importance of flotation devices and other water safety rules.
An average of 700 people die in boating related accidents every year in the U.S. and over 80 percent of those people are not wearing a life jacket. Tips to remember include get a safety check, take a safety course and give a safety talk to guests before you head out.
