Sunday was the start of National School Choice Week and activities are planned across the country to raise awareness about different educational opportunities.
Over 1,800 events are planned to take place across Pennsylvania this week, including open house events at schools, school fairs and homeschool information sessions.
Nearly 11 million Americans are expected to participate in the largest series of education-related events and activities in U.S. history.
National School Choice Week began in 2011 to spotlight effective education options from traditional public schools to charter schools, magnet schools, online academies and private schools.
