An Allegheny County animal shelter reportedly rescued 30 severely neglected farm animals from a residence in Harmony.
The Pittsburgh Tribune-Review reports Frankie’s Friends Cat Rescue in New Kensington rescued the animals late last month. Officials say the animals- including donkeys, goats, sheep and rabbits- were emaciated when they were rescued.
Officials said the animals are expected to make a full recovery, but it will take several months to rehabilitate them.
Charges are pending for animal cruelty and neglect.
