A new auditor general will be sworn-in Tuesday afternoon.
Republican Tim DeFoor will take the oath of office at 12:30 p.m.
The Dauphin County native previously served as his county’s controller before winning this past fall’s election.
DeFoor will be the first person of color to hold a row office in Pennsylvania. He’s also the first Republican to serve as auditor general since 1997.
The auditor general serves as the state’s chief fiscal officer and completes audits on public entities.
