The newly established State Board of Higher Education met held their first official meeting last week.
The board was created to streamline plans between the state-owned universities and community colleges.
They are also tasked with creating a strategic plan that aims to improve the long-term future of the schools in Pennsylvania.
The board was established as part of this year’s budget, which also saw an additional $60 million for community colleges and universities.
