A new book is out based on the disappearance and murder of a Renfrew girl nearly 60 years ago.
The book is entitled “Child Last Seen” and was written by author Maureen Boyle.
The true crime book details the cold case of Patty Desmond. She went missing from her McCalmont Road home in December 1965 and was never seen again.
“The last person known to have seen Patty was this individual by the name of Conrad Miller. He was the key suspect in her disappearance, but there was no proof that he was involved in her disappearance or that he had done anything to her at that time,” Boyle said.
Boyle’s book discusses the investigation around Desmond’s disappearance and eventually the arrest and conviction of Miller in the late 1980s.
She was also the author of Ghost, which tells the story of the shooting of Saxonburg Police officer Greg Adams and the ongoing search for his killer.
The book is available for sale.
