A New Castle man is behind bars after confessing to killing his mother and neighbor.
59-year-old Louis Esposito is charged with the crime.
It happened Wednesday night at a duplex on Dewey Avenue in New Castle.
Police say they arrived on the scene to find one man shot in the chest outside the home. Inside the duplex, police found Margaret Esposito dead due to a gun shot wound, and in the neighboring apartment, 78-year-old John Micco had also been killed.
Esposito was then interviewed by police at the station and admitted to the killings. He then tried to pull the fire alarm and escape.
He’s been charged with two counts of criminal homicide, and one count of attempted homicide.
