The state is promoting a new mobile app to help in the fight against the coronavirus.
State Health Secretary Dr. Rachel Levine says that the app will help notify people if they’ve come into contact with someone who has tested positive for COVID-19.
Levine says it’s another tool that is available to most residents.
“It takes one thing that we never really leave home without, which is our phone, and helps us use it to protect you and others from this very contagious virus.” Levine said.
The free app is called COVID Alert PA and is available now in all app stores.
