There will soon be a company in the county to take over the hazardous waste and electronic recycling program.
Butler County approved an agreement with Noble Environmental Specialty Recycling as the new organization to oversee the countywide program.
They are currently looking for central location, but county officials also hope they’ll be able to coordinate mobile collection sites.
The prices and fees are comparable to the previous group, which was based in Forward Township.
The recycling program has been popular in the county since its inception in 2002. In the last 20 years, county residents have recycled 428 tons of hazardous waste, and 577 tons of electronics.
