A new training program will be available to members of the Butler County Sheriff’s office.
Last week, county commissioners approved the use of an online program called Police Academy One.
According to Lieutenant William Luchkiw, the service offers a variety of training options for their department.
“There’s plenty of learning opportunities available. The online videos are basically anything from a five minute roll call video for officer safety, or an eight hour video on terrorism protests and things like that,” Luchkiw said.
Luchkiw also says the Police One Academy also can help the department find available grant opportunities and offers services like inventory management.
The contract runs through the end of next year.
