A new study reveals just how much of a toll the coronavirus pandemic is having on people’s mental health.
“According to a recent study from Penn State, younger age groups are experiencing worry and stress related to COVID-19 and a negative impact on their mental health,” Pennsylvania Department of Human Services Secretary Teresa Miller explains.
The study showed nearly 70 percent of people ages 18 to 24 said their mental health has been negatively impacted by the pandemic.
Miller said her department has resources available to help those affected.
“We are committed to maintaining a strong, stable, trauma-informed mental health and substance use support system for everyone across the Commonwealth,” Miller said.
