A new study shows that the number of teachers leaving their current job is growing at very steady pace.
Penn State’s Education Department conducted the study and found the rate of teacher attrition accelerated this past year and reached its highest rate in the last decade.
The study shows that 7.7 percent of teachers left their job last year—the highest since 7.5 percent in 2014.
Study authors say this pattern is not just a Pennsylvania problem, as other states are dealing with the same issue.
