The National Fire Protection Association is reminding home owners that it’s probably time to take down your live Christmas tree.
The association, known as the NFPA, says that nearly a third of fires that start because of a Christmas tree happen in January.
As the trees dry out, they have a higher risk of catching on fire.
The NFPA recommends using your community tree recycling plan and not to leave the trees in your garage or outside.
