Beginning Monday evening, drivers traveling southbound on Interstate 79 in Cranberry and Jackson townships could run into some delays.
Southbound traffic attempting to use the exit ramps to Route 228 and the turnpike will be detoured as crews do some paving work beginning at 6 p.m.
The ramps will be closed nightly through 6 a.m. until work is completed.
The alert from Cranberry Township to drivers reads:
This Week – Nightly Closure (6 PM to 6 AM) – SB I-79 Connector, Ramps to Rt 228 & Trnpk for paving
Beginning Mon. Sept 25, lane restrictions and ramp closure on I-79 South. SB Connector lane and exit ramps to SR 228 & Turnpike closed for paving. Detour south to Exit 73 (SR 910). Ramps will close 6 PM and reopen 6 AM nightly until complete.
