There will be no bus service on Thanksgiving but local residents will have the chance to help make this a better holiday for neighbors in need.
The Butler Transit Authority will have their Santa Trolley bus parked at the New Castle Street Plaza from noon until 3 p.m. on Saturday as part of the annual Spirit of Christmas Parade. Donations of unwrapped, new toys as well as children’s clothing sizes 5 to 14 and nonperishable food goods will be collected.
The Santa bus will also be collecting those items at the Clearview Mall near the Main (Food Court) entrance this Sunday from 1 to 5 p.m. All donations will benefit the Salvation Army and the local community.
Regular bus service will resume on Friday, November 24th.
