No motorists were injured after a disabled vehicle was struck last weekend on Interstate 79 in Jackson Township.
According to the State Police, an Edinburg woman was on the I-79 off ramp at mile marker 88 just before 7:30am last Saturday (January 18th) when one of her vehicle’s tires became flat. Authorities say that the motorist pulled over to the side of the roadway.
Police say that soon after, a Slippery Rock man was traveling south on I-79 when he lost control of his vehicle and struck the disabled vehicle on the driver’s side.
Neither motorist was injured, but both vehicles were towed from the scene. Police will charge the Slippery Rock man with a traffic citation.
