With the Butler Health System moving their vaccination site to the Clearview Mall, there is now no expectation for any state sponsored mass vaccination clinic to come to Butler.
The county’s Emergency Services Director Steve Bicehouse said the state is planning multiple regional centers, but none are currently planned for Butler County.
“[Butler] probably won’t have one, there would be one in Allegheny County that we would fall into,” Bicehouse said. “They would be looking at a regional vaccination center like PNC Park. A place where they can get 6,000 to 10,000 shots done per day.”
The mall site is classified as a community vaccination center according to Bicehouse.
