Butler Township residents will likely not see a tax hike next year.
That will mark the tenth consecutive year that taxes have remained stable in the township at 11.25 mills. That means a house in the township assessed at $14,667 will pay a tax bill of $165.
The Butler Township commissioners voted Monday night to post the just over $7.5 million budget for public review. This budget includes purchasing two new vehicles for the police, a truck for the road department, an SUV for code enforcement, and a tractor for the parks department.
Although changes could be made, modifications are unlikely between now and when the budget will be officially passed in December.
