A portion of New Castle Road was closed Thursday afternoon following an accident involving a tri-axle truck.
The crash happened around 1:30 p.m. near the intersection with the Butler Commons and the VA.
Police say the truck driven by 32-year-old Joshua Krovack of Slippery Rock crashed into two utility poles on the eastbound side of the road.
Police didn’t say how the truck crashed into the poles, but they were significantly damaged and wires came down onto the road.
Crews shut down New Castle Road in between Duffy and the Butler Commons intersection so they could clear the wires.
Krovack was not injured.
