Travel delays could be possible for motorists in Cranberry Township this weekend, as crews continue work on North Boundary Road.
According to PennDOT, crews will be working to remove the temporary bridge on Interstate 79 over North Boundary Road beginning at 6 a.m. Saturday and continuing through Sunday.
North Boundary Road will be closed during this time with a detour posted that will direct traffic onto Marshall Road, Rowan Road, and Route 19 North before connecting back up to North Boundary.
This is phase 5 of a two-year $14.6 million project from mile marker 80.5 to mile marker 81.4. During the last two construction seasons, the bridges on I-79 were replaced with twin multi-beam structures.
