Both the boys and girls North Catholic basketball teams advanced to the WPIAL Championship with a pair of wins last night.
The North Catholic boys took down South Allegheny 51-40. Ryan Feczko was the leading scorer for the Trojans with 16. They’ll face Lincoln Park in the 3A Championship game Thursday night at 9 p.m. at the Petersen Event Center
North Catholic girls prevailed over Blackhawk with a 71-51 win. Tess Myers led the Trojanettes with 21 points. North Catholic will face Southmoreland in the 4A girls championship. That game is Friday night at 7 p.m. North Catholic head coach Molly Rottman is seeking her 9th WPIAL Championship—and it would be North Catholic’s 20th title.
In boys basketball tonight—Mars will face Chartiers Valley for a chance to go to the Petersen Event Center to play in the 5A boys championship. That game is at Moon High School with a 8 p.m. tip-off.
