There is still time to register for an upcoming series of National Rifle Association basic pistol shooting courses at Butler County Community College.
The 16-hour course through BC3’s Public Safety Training Program will next be held on June 19-21 from 5:30 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. in the main campus Science and Technology Building. Students will also meet next Saturday (6/23) at the Litman Range Facility in Butler Township.
The course will highlight the five fundamentals of pistol shooting, the three NRA rules of safe firearms handling, the proper two-handed grip, determining a dominant eye, marksmanship, and shooting techniques. Participants must be at least 21 years old and supply their own pistol, holster or case, and ammunition.
The cost of this course is $112 which includes a $2 registration fee. Additional classes will be offered in July, August, September and October.
