Saturday is National Prescription Drug take back Day and locally people will have two opportunities to dispose of old unused prescription drugs responsibly.
The first event is an annual event in Cranberry Township. It will take place between 10am to 2pm in the rear of the parking lot at the Municipal Center. There will also be an eyeglass donation as well.
Butler VA is pairing with the Drug Enforcement Administration and they will be collecting from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Butler VA Campus Parking Lot number 18.
Injectable medicine, syringes, or illegal drugs will not be accepted. Any liquids need to have tightly sealed caps.
If you cannot make either event you can still dispose of your prescription pills responsibly by:
- Throwing the pills away separate from the container
- Removing any personal information from the container
