The National Weather Service has confirmed a tornado touched down Monday afternoon in Lancaster Township, Butler County.
Officials say an EF-0 initially touched down near Bowers Lane and North Camp Run Road in Fombell, Beaver County just minutes before 4 p.m. and traveled about three miles northeast into Lancaster Township, Butler County near Strawberry Ridge Golf Course.
Trees were uprooted and limbs were snapped. No one was hurt and no structural damage occurred.
The NWS said damage was also observed on Whitestown and Eagle Mill Roads in Connoquenessing Township, Butler County, that could have been due to a tornado, but evidence was inconclusive.
