The amount of revenue the state brought in during October continued a streak of outpacing expectations.
The Department of Revenue announced that collections totaled $2.8 billion last month, which was six percent above the anticipated amount.
Sales tax receipts continue to be the main driver of revenue, bringing in $1.2 billion in October.
The state finished last fiscal year with a surplus, and is currently about seven percent above expectations this year—which works out to nearly $8 million.
