A motorist was flown to a local hospital following a one car crash that occurred earlier this weekend in Fairview Township.
According to State Police, an unidentified motorist was traveling on Kittanning Pike near Karns City High School around 2pm on Saturday (May 2nd) when they lost control of their vehicle.
Authorities say that the vehicle first went over an embankment before returning to the roadway and crossing into oncoming traffic. The vehicle then returned to its original lane of travel before striking a utility pole and tree.
The driver was then flown to a Pittsburgh hospital for treatment of unknown injuries.
Police believe that the operator was driving under the influence of alcohol, but it is unclear if any charges have been filed.
