One person was seriously injured and another suffered minor injuries following an accident in Center Township Tuesday afternoon.
It happened just before 3:30 p.m. on West Sunbury Road near Holyoke Road.
Police say a vehicle driven by 37-year-old Colt Rankin of Butler was driving north when he crossed into the other lane and hit an SUV driven by 47-year-old Milann Karnes of Butler.
According to police, Rankin then drove uncontrollably into a road barrier and then back into the northbound lane of West Sunbury Road before coming to a stop.
Police say Rankin suffered a suspected serious injury. Meanwhile, Karnes had minor injuries.
A portion of West Sunbury Road needed to be closed for a time to allow for cleanup.
