A local organization is providing an opportunity for community members to receive free legal advice later this week.
Neighborhood Legal Services is offering a free walk-in civil legal aid clinic Thursday from 9:30 a.m. until noon and then also 1 to 3:30 p.m. at the Holly Pointe Building in Butler.
Anyone who is interested will be able to receive advice about legal barriers to employment and housing as well as expungement, record sealing, and pardons. The Butler County Bar Association is hosting a training to support attorneys volunteering at this clinic.
Those interested in participating in this event are asked to register through the Neighborhood Legal Services website or call 1-866-761-6572 but walk-ins are also welcome.
