The COVID-19 vaccine distribution has now eclipsed one million shots in Pennsylvania, according to the Department of Health.
Here in Butler County, over 12,000 people have at least received one shot—with just over 3,700 people having both doses.
However, the data from the Department of Health only reflects the state’s allotment, so actually more people could be vaccinated in the county. Nursing home vaccinations and shots administered at the Butler VA are not factored into the state’s data.
Still, many are wondering where and when they’ll be able to get the vaccine.
Butler Health System officials say vaccine supply is still limited and that they’re unaware how much supply will be sent to them on a weekly basis, which makes scheduling difficult.
Officials encourage people to continue to check the Department of Health’s vaccine map that has more info for where you can sign up for a vaccine shot.
