The spring primary is a little over a month away, but state officials say many residents have requested a mail-in ballot.
“There are more than 626,000 Pennsylvanians who have already requested to receive either a mail-in or absentee ballot this year,” Acting Secretary of State Veronica Degraffenreid said.
She also adds that anyone who wants to vote by mail should apply well before the May 11th deadline.
“When ballots become available, the ballots will be sent directly to the location that the voter indicated on the form. The sooner you do that the better, just to make sure you’re ballot is going to be mailed to you, that there’s enough time to have that ballot sent, and that the voter has enough time to voter their ballot and return it back to the board of elections office,” Degraffenreid said.
To apply for a mail-in ballot you can visit VotesPA.com or stop by the county’s election office.
