Slippery Rock University will host a presentation later this week by members of state government and service agencies including representatives of the Pennsylvnaia Attorney General’s Office.
A roundtable discussion focusing on campus safety initiatives is planned for 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Thursday (11/9) in the Smith Student Center Theater.
Attorney General Josh Shapiro will address the group through a video welcome. Topics of discussion will include drug addiction, alcohol abuse, mental health awareness and sexual assault prevention. The goal of this event is to identify strategies and promote responses that are survivor-centered and trauma-informed. Information gathered will then be compiled, assessed and shared so that participants can implement the best ideas.
Similar presentations are taking place at the University of Pittsburgh, Lincoln University and Drexel University.
