The Pennsylvania Department of labor and Industry has announced new kiosks that will make filing for unemployment compensation more accessible.
With grant funding from the United States Department of Labor, the Commonwealth has installed kiosks to file for benefits at 17 PA CareerLink locations and 29 UPS locations. The L&I says that by July all PA CareerLink locations will have kiosks.
The kiosks will be an added fraud detection measure that will virtually verify the identities of unemployment applicants.
Pennsylvanians will still be able to file online and at home, but this will provide more access and protection. According to L&I, all kiosks will have trained personnel on site who can help all file claims.
