The state Department of Health is revising their universal mask order to bring it more in line with the new recommendations from the CDC.
Under the plan, if you are fully vaccinated you can visit with other fully vaccinated people indoors without wearing masks. They also say you can meet an unvaccinated person indoors without wearing a mask if that person is low risk from a severe COVID outcome.
Otherwise, the Department of Health says masking and social distancing remain in place for the time being.
From the Department of Health website:
Activities fully vaccinated people can resume include:
- Visiting with other fully vaccinated people indoors without wearing masks/physical distancing
- Visiting with unvaccinated people from single household at low risk for severe COVID-19 indoors without wearing masks/physical distancing
- Refraining from quarantine + testing following a known exposure, if asymptomatic.
Fully vaccinated people should continue to:
- Wear a mask and practicing physical distancing in public
- Avoid medium- and large-sized in-person gatherings
- Get tested if experiencing symptoms
