The speaker of the Pennsylvania State House is proposing new election laws for the commonwealth.
On Monday, State Rep. Johanna McClinton proposed a bill that would allow voters to register the day of election day at their polling place and begin counting early voting two weeks before hand.
Currently in Pennsylvania voters can only vote early by mail and not in person. The bill would also give voters the option to vote two weeks before the election.
The bill will now head to committee before being debated and voted for on the house floor.
