With the gas prices surging, state leaders are increasing the electric vehicle infrastructure.
Department of Environmental Protection Secretary Patrick McDonnell announced that more electric vehicle chargers are coming to Pennsylvania.
“We’re actually supplying $2.2 million from the Driving Pennsylvania Forward program and the Alternative Fuel Incentive grant program to support DC fast chargers in 11 locations in Philadelphia, Delaware, Montgomery and Allegheny Counties,” McDonnell said.
McDonnell says increasing the number of electric vehicles on the road will help reduce dependence on foreign oil and fossil fuels.
