We’ll spring the clocks ahead an hour this Sunday as Daylight Saving Time begins, but a state lawmaker hopes to never do it again.
Rep. Russ Diamond represents parts of Lebanon, PA and he plans to introduce a bill that would propose the Keystone State remains on Eastern Standard Time all year long.
Diamond believes that Daylight Saving Time has outlived its usefulness.
Daylight Saving Time was first adopted by European countries in the early 1900s in an effort to minimize artificial lighting in hopes of saving fuel for first world war.
