The Pennsylvania Supreme Court has issued a ruling that extends the deadline by which mail-in ballots can be received.
Following a request for an extension to the deadline by the Democratic Party, that deadline has been extended to allow for the counting of ballots received three days following Election Day.
Ballots that are eligible to be counted must be postmarked by the time polls close and be received by county election boards at 5 p.m. on November 6th, three days after the general election on the 3rd. The Court’s ruling also authorized the use of satellite election offices and drop boxes by counties.
A separate ruling by the court was in favor of a second request by the Democratic Party to remove the Green Party’s presidential candidate from ballots in the state for not following the correct procedures.
