Festivities surrounding the annual North Washington Rodeo will get underway on Monday.
The “big rodeo parade” will begin at 6:30 p.m. to kick off the week-long rodeo and officially introduce the 2019 Rodeo Queen to the public.
The parade is held in the borough of North Washington, ending at the rodeo arena on Route 38. Admission to the arena is free tonight. There is no rodeo, but you can enjoy concession food, live entertainment and a bonfire with marshmallows.
The rodeo officially begins on Tuesday at 8 p.m. and runs for five evenings.
The event is the biggest fundraiser of the year for the North Washington Volunteer Fire Department.
