The State System of Higher Education has named a new interim chancellor.
Dr. Chris Fiorentino will serve as the interim leader of PASSHE following the retirement of Daniel Greenstein.
Fiorentino is the former president of West Chester University. He was a part of the university for 40 years, serving the final six as president.
Officials say a nationwide search is underway and that Fiorentino will not be applying for the full-time job.
PASSHE is made up of 10 universities, including Slippery Rock.
