Patricia Ann Holt entered into eternal life on Wednesday, November 24th, 2021. Born in Butler on Jan. 5, 1952, to Harold & Betty (Sommer) Christy.
She was a member of St. Paul’s United Church of Christ in Connoquenessing.
Her legacy will be carried on by her husband Larry, whom she married May 10, 1969; 2 children; and 5 grandchildren. She was a protector, role model and supportive listener. Her sweet disposition carried her far in her many careers and hobbies. Pat’s varied jobs started in a retail maternity shop in Charleston, SC; a housekeeper for many, that turned into a care giver for some; worked in ladies fashions at K-Mart; secretary for Century 21; Director of Conquest operator services; LPN at Butler Hospital; and on-staff nurse for Just What the Doctor Ordered.
Pat served as a Den mother, Sunday school teacher and Director of the East Butler Sparks. She was a kind, loving and loyal friend to many. Pat made it easy for all to love her.
Pat loved spending time at the Beach with family, taking bus trips, going to the casino, golfing, bowling, dancing, and card club but mostly spending time with her beloved grandchildren. Earlier in life, she enjoyed hunting, and just going to camp.
Pat is survived by her loving husband of 52 years, and her children Tina Shockey (Matthew) and Brian Holt (Allison). She shared unconditional love with her grandchildren: Thomas, Jacob, and Elijah Shockey (Lancaster, PA) and Lukis and Zoe Holt (Butler). Each and every one special in their own way to “Grammy.” Also surviving are brothers Bob Christy (Peach) and Don Christy (Nancy) and their families; members of the Holt family; and five cousins.
She was preceded in death by her parents, and all aunts and uncles.
The family would like to thank the compassionate staff of Good Samaritan Hospice (Concordia).
A private memorial service will be held later at the convenience of the family.
Memorial donations may be made to St. Paul’s UCC, Box 252, Connoquenessing, PA 16027.
