Patrick Charles Burns, 71, of Evans City, went to be with the Lord Friday, December 30, 2022 at home.
Pat was born in Butler on September 21, 1951. He was the son of the late Charles W. and Dorothy
Lehner Burns. He was a member of St. Faustina Parish. He was a 1969 graduate of Karns City Area High
School and earned a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration in 1973 from Duquesne University.
Pat worked 46 years in the finance field. Three years with Price Waterhouse & Co. and 43 years with
Butler Health System, St. Francis Health System, UPMC and ACMH Hospital. Pat was a Certified Public
Accountant. Mr. Burns enjoyed spending time with his family and being outdoors.
Pat is survived by his wife, Sandra K. (Ihlenfeld) whom he married May 5, 1979; his son, Ryan P. Burns
and his wife Elizabeth and their children Caleb and Lydia; his daughter Amanda K.; a sister Charlene L.
Burns, PhD. of Durham N.C.; mother-in-law Joan Ihlenfeld; sister-in-law, Elaine Burns; brother-in-law and
sister-in-law Thomas and Sandra Ihlenfeld; as well as a number of aunts; nephew; nieces and cousins.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Sister Margaret Burns, S.C., his brother
John J. Burns, and his father-in-law Warren Ihlenfeld.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 AM in St. Faustina Parish (St. Christopher Church) in Prospect
on Friday, January 6th, 2023 through SPENCER D. GEIBEL FUNERAL HOME & CREMATION SERVICES,

Per his wishes, there will be no viewing. Private interment will follow in Mt. Nebo Cemetery. Memorial
