Patrick W. McClellan, 72, of Butler, Pennsylvania, passed away on November 6, 2021, at the Butler Memorial Hospital.
He was born July 1, 1949, in Kane, Pennsylvania to the late Hugh McClellan and the late Blanche Spiers McClellan.
Pat was a member of Victory Family Church in Cranberry Twp. He worked as an Industrial Engineer for Armco/AK Steel in Butler for 45 years. Pat played basketball and baseball at the University of Pittsburgh where he received his Engineering Degree. He coached baseball, football, softball, BC3 Girls Basketball and Butler Boys Basketball for many years. He was a PIAA basketball and football official. Pat enjoyed traveling and playing with his current softball team the Steel City Dawgs. He also enjoyed playing games with family, building puzzles, pickle ball, cards, traveling, outdoors, golfing and spending time in Hilton Head.
Pat is survived by his wife, Diane (Shields) McClellan, who he married on June 3, 1972; three sons, Rich (Becky) McClellan of Dillsburg, PA, Ryan (Kim) McClellan of Butler, PA, Rob (Kim) McClellan of Butler, PA; 12 grandchildren; one brother, Jim (Annie) McClellan of Marienville, PA; and one sister, Jane McClellan of Marienville, PA.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one brother, Hugh Michael McClellan.
Friends will be received Saturday, November 13, 2021, 2:00 pm – 4:00 pm & 6:00 pm – 8:00 pm at Thompson – Miller Funeral Home, Inc., 124 East North Street Butler, PA.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held at a future date at the convenience of the family.
