Paul Frederick Reeder, age 67, of Prospect passed away Sunday, May 13, 2018 in the Allegheny General Hospital, following a brief illness.
Born December 6, 1950 in Butler, he was the son of the late L. Paul and Marguerite Beachem Reeder.
He was a Veteran of the US Army, who proudly served our country from 1970 to 1971 with the 11th Armored Cavalry Regiment Blackhorse in Vietnam, where he received the Medal of Honor.
Paul retired from Armco in 2003, where he was a trim line operator in 2 Aisle.
He enjoyed the outdoors, especially gardening and cutting, splitting, and stacking wood.
He is survived by his wife Paulette Bukovac Reeder, who he married October 21, 2000; his three sons Gregory Reeder, Joseph (Jen) Reeder, Douglas Reeder all of Butler, and his two grandsons Isaiah and Jacob Reeder of Toledo, OH; his sister Laura (Dennis) Welsh of Manassas, VA; and a number of nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his twin sister Pamela Rockhill, two brothers Mark and Michael Reeder.
Visitation will be on Wednesday, May 16, 2018 from 2 to 4pm and 6 to 8pm at the Edward L. Raisley Funeral Home, 387 Main Street, Prospect. A Blessing Service will be on Thursday, May 17, 2018, 10am in the Raisley Funeral Home, with Father Joseph Feltz, Pastor of St Christopher Roman Catholic Church at the Lake of Prospect, officiating. Military Honors will follow the service.
Burial will be in Braddock Cemetery, North Braddock, PA.
