Paul W. Campbell, 94, of Cabot, PA, passed away on Thursday, November 9, 2023, at Butler Memorial Hospital.
He was born on April 30, 1929, in Butler, PA, to the late Harvey and Ethel (Miller) Campbell.
After graduating from Butler High School, Paul enlisted in the Army, where he proudly fought for his country in the Korean War, eventually retiring as a Staff Sergeant. Paul then worked for 43 years in the rigging department at ARMCO Steel, before retiring in September of 1991.
Paul was a member of various different organizations in his community, including the Veterans of Foreign Wars Post #249, the American Legion Post #117, the East Butler VFW, the Consistory Legion of Honor New Castle, the Korean War Veterans Reunion of PA, the Oakland Township Oneida Valley VFD, the Butler/Victory Lodge #272 Free and Accepted Masons, the Ancient and Accepted Scottish Rite Valley of New Castle, the Syria Caravan #14 of Butler, the Butler Shrine Luncheon Club, the Tanglewood Senior Center, and the National Rifle Association. Paul found his greatest enjoyment in spending time with his family and target shooting.
Paul is survived by his wife of 69 years, Joan (Christy) Campbell; one son, Bill (Sandra) Campbell; one daughter, Mary (Adrian) Conrad; two grandchildren, Laurel (Dan) Gensinger and Matthew (Amanda) Conrad; one step-grandchild, Melissa Malicki; four great-grandchildren, Emme Gensinger, Oliver Gensinger, Quinn Conrad, and Piper Conrad; three step-great-grandchildren, Kassie Smith, Cora Malacki, and Allison Malacki; two nieces, Judy Cochran and Linda Hilliard; and one nephew, Chris Campbell.
In addition to his parents, Paul was preceded in death by his brother, Harold Campbell.
Family and friends will be received from 2:00 PM – 4:00 PM and 6:00 PM – 8:00 PM on Monday, November 13, 2023, at Thompson-Miller Funeral Home, Inc, 124 E. North St., Butler, PA 16001. Officers and Members of the Butler/Victory Lodge #272 will meet at the funeral home at 6:00 PM on Monday, November 13, 2023, to conduct Masonic Services
A Military Service with Full Honors, as well as a Funeral Service for Paul will be held on Tuesday, November 14, 2023, at 1:00 PM at the Funeral Home with Reverend Dr. Mary Kitchen officiating.
Private burial will take place at Butler County Memorial Park.
