The Pittsburgh Penguins drafted four young players in the second and final day of the 2018 NHL Draft in Dallas, Texas.
With their first pick this year, the Penguins selected Calen Addison with the 53rd overall pick in the second round. Addison is an 18-year-old defenseman from Canada.
Other draft picks from Saturday included:
- Filip Hallander (2nd round, 58th overall). He is a 17-year-old center and left-wing from Sweeden. The Penguins traded their 3rd round pick (64th overall) and a later pick (146th overall) to move up to 58th overall.
- Justin Almeida (5th round, 129th overall). He is a 19-year-old center from Canada.
- Liam Gorman (6th round, 177th overall). He is an 18-year-old center from the northeastern portion of the U.S., and will play at Boston University in the fall.
