The Pittsburgh Penguins have announced that defenseman Brian Dumoulin is the latest player to go down with a significant injury. Dumoulin suffered lacerated tendons in his left ankle in the Pens loss to St. Louis Saturday and had successful surgery Sunday. He will miss a minimum of two months. He joins Sidney Crosby and Justin Schultz on long-term Injured Reserve. The Pens also saw winger Bryan Rust go down to an injury in practice over the weekend.
The Pens lost both road games over the weekend, falling to St. Louis 5-2. They have fallen down to fifth place in the Metropolitan Division. The Pens will host St. Louis Wednesday.
